What top to wear with brown wool trousers?

I bought some lovely Great Plains wool trousers with 60% off at the weekend. Trouble is, I can't work out what to wear with them. They are thick sort of wool flannel material and are dark brown.

I want to wear them to work (fairly relaxed office) so a top would need to be suitable for that. I would like a fairly bright colour, but I'm not sure what would go with brown. Jumpers, cardigans or long sleeved tops would all be considered.

Any suggestions?

Dark orange would be a good choice, sometimes dark turquoise can complement dark brown really well too. Or deep red.

Thanks milk.

What about this in Geranium? Or is it too light?

I was thinking maybe teal would work, but I'm having trouble finding anything.

burgundy vest top and cream cardigan? with a chunky gold necklace?

I like very pale pink and pale blue with brown too.

I'd go a bit more russet than that top, think autumn colours: teal, copper, burgundy, bottle green.

I also think the Geranium jumper is a bit light in tone. I would go for a rusty orange, or a really deep pink - you can go for quite strong colours to complement dark brown.
