Treating myself as my 40th/Christmas/going back to work etc etc I would like bag to wear on shoulder for work and cross body for with dc's.

Narrowed it down to Daria, Effie or Bay satchel in oak. Not been to Shepton Mallet outlet since having dc (7 years!!) could go there tue but would be diff colour if there were any is it still worth it fir the price? Or whip up to John Lewis today fir their price match?

I have a replica Smile Daria hobo I have loved but think cross body better for me and I have a couple of leather baby bags and two Barbour jackets I know will sell well so pretty much pats fir the bag ease my guilt just need to decide on which one...!!

I returned a Bayswater last week as I found it too big and have asked for a small Bayswater to be reserved on delivery. I did order a Bella but when I went to pick it up it was really thin shiny leather which I did not like.

I like the look of the Daria but wondered if the leather was matt or shiney. If it's matt I may ask for it be reserved. I also love the Effie which is on my shortlist.

If you phone the outlet shop they will phone you if/when they get the bags in stock and can reserve them.

How about an oak Antony [tchsmile]

Allthingsprettyreturns · 01/12/2013 14:06

Check the purse forum which has a outlet thread in the shopping part

I have the Daria hobo and it's great. Leather is matt (on mine anyway)

Eastwickwitch · 01/12/2013 17:04

I have two Bayswaters , one large for everyday and one smaller one. I love them both. I know they're expensive but cost per use is probably pennies.

DuchessFanny · 01/12/2013 17:30

I love the Effie, but think it looks better in the black.
The Anthony messenger in oak is gorgeous !

I have a Daria satchel (bought 2 years ago in Xmas Eve sales with 30% off. Worth waiting for). I live nr Shepton Mallet, and I used to be able to get a great range of Mulberry bags, but recently, it's been mainly the crazier colour ways. Always worth a call though.

I love my Daria, I carry it almost every day, and it still looks great. My H actually won a Bayswater in tan that Xmas and I sold it to find the Daria. Although a classic, I find the Bays just too heavy to lug around (haven't been able to use my Roxanne since I stopped using a pushchair Grin).

The leather on the Daria I think is pretty matte (mine is pheasant green). About to check the Effie and oak satchels, as can't remember how they look...

carrie74 · 01/12/2013 17:33

OK, I'd get the Effie. The only thing I don't like about the Daria is the massive plate. It's too obvious for me. Unfortunately, I don't think they were making the Effie satchel when I bought the Daria.

mysteryfairy · 01/12/2013 17:55

I have a large bayswater satchel which I love and would be my choice of the three. Definitely prefer the satchel to the actual bays - much easier to use for me. DH bought it for me on Xmas eve with 30% off a couple of years ago so I only had a picture of it on Xmas day (but it was my choice to wait not his as I wanted a seasonal colour and knew it would be reduced). If you want oak I think you should buy online today from John Lewis or Selfridges. Oak bags are often excluded from the sales as they carry over seasons so I think this may be the best discount you'll get.

Ooh so they are all fab then Grin!! The Anthony just not for me though I keep looking at them just a bit too plain ifykwim?? I sold my bay abd purse to part fund my eldest dc's pram and just not practical shape/style fir what I want now but thinking the smaller satchel version would be...

From using my fake Daria Hobo (that I get stopped and asked about all the time!! I just smile and nod Smile) big bling round plate not as bad as I thought it would be though love the Effie fir as stamped in the leather looks a little more elegant...

So in summary I still love all three...!! Going to have look on purse forum later for sone outlet insider knowledge. I think there is an outlet Anthony that has a zip (I'd like that) and there used to be an outlet Daria in a burgundy colour? Didn't make it to JL so trip to SM tue I think?!

I have the Effie in tan. Love it and its far better quality than my Alexa.

I am not keen on the big gold disc on the Daria either.

carrielou2007 · 02/12/2013 17:40
