I really need some new make up but really can't spend much - I've heard MUA stuff is good value - is there anything in particular anyone could recommend for me?

Thanks

The " Undressed" eye palette is good. It's a bit of an Urban Decay "Naked" rip off.

TallulahBetty · 01/12/2013 11:34

Their eyeshadows are all good but yes the Naked palette dupes as mentioned above are brilliant. Lipsticks are only a pound and really good also. I swear by their fixing spray - my makeup doesn't budge all day Smile

EYE BROW KIT!!!

Sorry to shout, but best £3.50 I've ever spent. Also think it was free in superdrugs 3for2 and they delivered free too!

They have a lovely lipstick range that looks like crayons, you wind them up iyswim and they're v moisturising.

Also love the cream blushes Smile HTH

I like the kohl eyeliners, it's the only one I've been able to use properly.

Thanks so much - I love the sound of the fixing spray - I have quite oily skin so my foundation doesn't usually last long, so anything that helps would be fab.

And I might just be tempted to wear lipsticks again - I've gone right off lipstick recently for some reason, but for £1 I might have to give them another go!!

Thanks all

The eyeshadow kits are fab. I have got the undressed and (I think) Heaven and earth -(or is that by Sleek??). A disco ball one (sparkly shadows and a couple of the 3 'ball' shadow trios (like Bourjois). I recently got a smoky eye kit but have not used it yet. I got the 'pro' base which is a palette trio of foundation, concealer and something I think they call highlighter but seems like a sheer pink blusher like thing. I have only used the foundation and the concealer so far.

Very impressed. I use the sponge which came with it. I do not need to powder over it which is good news as my eyes stream in the wind constantly and normally washes powder off. Not sure if it would suit someone with dry/very dry skin but suits my dry/oily comb skin.

I have had some of the lippies too. Like the fact that you get a gloss/balm in the top of the lippie! I like the eye pencils too.

On the whole cannot grumble at the price. OOh I think I got a primer too. Also nail polish too.

I have a peachy cream blush from them which is gorgeous!

mewkins · 01/12/2013 20:00

The bronzer is great for a pound. Shade 01 is very subtle. The blushers are good too and there's a new matte eye palette which I use a lot at the moment.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 01/12/2013 20:05

The lipsticks that look like chubby pencils (a rip off of Clinique chubby stick) are good a cross between lipstick and gloss. A nice shine but not sticky and gloopy like gloss but not as heavy as lipstick.

louwn · 01/12/2013 20:14

I like the eye primer, really helps my make up to stay on longer (I am oily skinned too)
. TallulahBetty, I am using the urban decay one at the moment, how does this compare if you've used that one too?

AdventColander · 01/12/2013 21:02

I like the sparkly black eye pencil with its own sharpener. Don't kniw if they still do it but it's fab.

TallulahBetty · 01/12/2013 21:04

Luown I don't own the Urban Decay ones myself, but my friend does, and I've borrowed it a few times. I can honestly say I've not been tempted to go and buy it - the MUA one is just as good IMO.

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 01/12/2013 21:06

A cream blush in a peachy coral shade (probably the same one big paws mentioned). It's really lovely on.

misskatamari · 01/12/2013 21:07

I've not tried the MUA stuff but the sleek range is awesome! The lip stick really stays put and I've got a great eye shadow palette. Love them!
