How can I get the lights on DD's Clarks boots to flash again?

Well this is something I never thought I'd post about! 3yo DD has coveted the Clark's shoes with flashing lights for years but has never had any as I hate them and she has odd shaped feet and the styles of the flashing lights one never fitted her. When I took her to have her feet measured recently, I realised that, as she has massive feet for her age, this was going to be her last ever chance to have shoes with flashing lights so got her some calf length boots with two little lights on one side which flash when she steps heavily. She loves them and they are fun in the dark. However, one of them has now stopped flashing. They're less than a month old. Is there any way to re-activate the flash? DD spent most of the afternoon jumping up & down trying to get it to start flashing again? I imagined I'd be delighted if the lights ever stopped working but she has been so thrilled with them that I'd love to get them working again if I can.

I'd take them back.

I always wanted flashing lights, but I can't get into that smaller children's shoes.

Yes, they are silly, but having seen how well they show up in dark car parks, not entirely pointless.

Silly question but are they switched on? Ours(clarks boys) have an on/off switch on the side of the shoe near where the light flashes....... I know this because I threaten to switch them off when they are naughty :-)

If that isn't it then def take them back

I have actually looked for a switch and fiddled around inside the boots where the lights are m2mm
Starball - exactly. I hadn't realised flashing shoes were available for such a short period of time. Also, DD never asked for them but just talked about ones her friends had, commented on them on other children in the park and just gave me an incredulous look followed by the biggest smile when I asked her if she'd like some. And it does mean I know she's standing exactly where I told her too when I'm strapping g DS into his seat.

The battery is probably gone and can't be changed. Bring them back. As one is gone before the other I wonder if they were on display.

Take them back. DS had some school shoes last year that stopped flashing after heavy rain, they exchanged them just fine.

I'd defo take them back!

Just to let you know that I took them back & they were exchanged without question. I was told it happens occasionally. I do wonder if they were a display pair as the replacement pair seem to be in much better condition than the originals ever were.
