Hairdressers, advice please!!!!
Okay so I've put my hair through quite a lot recently, a few box dyes, colour B4. It's a warm coppery brown with lighter roots which are about an inch & a half.

I want it a more bright copper colour. I did call in at the local salon the other day & asked them what would be the best way to go about it. They could either add a red colour, but that would result in possibly darker red lengths or to achieve the copper colour I want, my hair would either need a bleach bath, then a colour or highlights then a colour.

My hair is very much a warm colour already, there are is a mix of lights & darker strands in there. I need to make sure whichever way I go my roots are matched up.

What do I do? Would my hair withstand highlights? Because obviously that is bleach. Or should I do another colour B4, would that be kinder to my hair or would that just be a disaster?!

Help!

another colour b4 will lighten it even more so your roots will end up very light personally i would be tempted to find the colour you want in a box and put it on roots first then blend through rest 5 mins before the rinse. if you have / want straight hair I would recommend a brazilian keratin treatment as that will make your hair all shiney and silky again.

Thanks Stepaway for your reply.

I did try a box colour, a loreal feria one in mango copper, which is much brighter copper colour than my current hair colour, but it didn't do much, possibly made my hair a tad darker if anything.

I think I'll pop back to the hairdressers next week & get more advice & quotes, I'll not be happy until something is done with this mop, maybe having some highlights is the best way to go, just don't want my hair snapping off!

if you wear your hair straight you could consider getting one of the brazilian keratin kits I use them and after a stripping disaster (at hairdressers not local club Smile it was the only thing that made my hair look like hair and not straw. shiny sleekness i love them.
