comfy but nice winter skirt: ideas needed, please

I haven't really worn skirts for years but have now decided I really want a couple for winter. Not sure where to start, though:

Size 12-14, bit of a tum but good legs

Am of a certain age so not too short (above knee a bit is ok though). No maxis. Possibly midi? Am 5 ft 7)

I work from home, don't really do dressy uppy that much but like to look reasonably stylish. Don't want anything too, um, restrictive, just a comfy skirt I can throw on that will look nice but not have me fidgeting to get out of it and put pyjama bottoms on instead.

Usual winter style is layered tops, nice knits, cashmere hoodie, Breton top, tea dresses, skinnies, coloured chunky tights, ankle boots, big scarves, all that kind of thing.

Wardrobe is 90% grey and navy with random bits of dark red, dark green, cream, black. Am considering a skirt in a print, though, thinking it might look nice with a plain knit. Or maybe a stripe??

Don't want to spend too much for now in case this skirt lark turns out to be a flash in the pan Smile.

Where to begin, oh wise ones?

have u tried white stuff? they usually have a few nice ones - corduroy, knee length, a line sort of styles. They usually have a variety of prints too and theres probably a discount code around somewhere!

What about a tube skirt?

White Stuff? I had a potter in Jigsaw the other day and thought they had some lovely skirts.
