Grey skinny jeans that aren't jeggings

Has anyone seen any grey skinny jeans that are proper jeans rather than softer jeggings type material? Hoping someone has come across the perfect pair as there is such a baffling choice online and I have limited time to get to the shops.

Would also ideally like a mid colour grey rather than a dark faded colour.

I have a 9 week old baby so need a medium rise to hide the saggy tummy but am a fairly standard size 10 apart from that. My fav jeans are oasis cherry but they have only dark grey.

Many thanks

Topshop 'Jamie' is high waist (but really more of a mid rise) & very flattering on the tum, decent thickness of denim. Though not sure the colour is what you're looking for.

Uniqlo sometimes do a proper grey in their coloured jeans range.

I was going to say Topshop too, and Dorothy Perkins (quite a good rise on those too).

I got some from Boden that are perfect for me. They have a sale on this weekend so worth having a look, not sure if they're doing grey at the moment.

Thank you...id looked online at the topshop Jamie's but wondered if they might be more of a jeggings so interested to hear that the denim is thicker.

What are the sizes like? Haven't bought anything in topshop for years. I am sometimes an 8 in places like next and m and a but a 10 in oasis warehouse etc

Hadn't even thought of Dorothy Perkins!

Thank you

I've recently bought some Jamie jeans from TS but I think they do seem a bit jeggingy feeling. Less so than some, but still not proper denim if you know what I mean. I also have found that I'm always 'hoiking' them up, however they don't go saggy round the knees....so that's a bonus. Not got any other suggestions mind you so will be watching this space!

I've got a Dorothy Perkins pair but they are a couple of years old. I must see if they've still got them as they are threadbare in the inner thigh area because I've worn them so much!

These look quite nice and IME Gap denim is usually pretty good.

I love my uniqlo super skinny jeans. They are quite high rise and keep their shape. Look very flattering on too.
You need to size down though- I am a 12 but wear 27 waist. That makes me love them more Wink

I have some brilliant ones from Cos. They are dark grey but with no fading, mid rise and they keep their shape really well.

The brilliant and bargainous New Look supersoft skinniest come in a mid grey here.

Belindaearl2 · 30/11/2013 17:59

Monsoon ... a bit light, Mint Velvet mid grey.

TopHatAndTails · 30/11/2013 20:01

I saw some at Asda yesterday and thought of this thread. £14.

Thurlow · 30/11/2013 20:05

I've got the next ones - they're not quite denim but definitely don't think they are the leggings material you're thinking of. £20 I think?

Myneaux · 01/12/2013 14:27

Just wanted to report back...thanks for all your suggestions!

The new look ones were a nice colour but were a bit on the thin side...def more like jeggings in terms of material. I fear that the knees would last about 2 weeks as I seem to spend all day crawling round on the floor after dc,s.

Tried on topshop Jamie's...very skinny fit and they only had ankle grazers in store in 30 leg which was too short for me. They were a bit too tight fitting too but again a nice colour...still quite jeggings like rather than real denim.

Really fancied the gap ones but could get to a store so in the end I went for next lift and shape ones...quite a light grey, soft and stretchy but more like denim...had to size down and wouldn't necessarily say that they lifted and shaped! Also £45 quite expensive for next but worth it for a good fit.

I ordered these yesterday (says black but they look more dark grey to me).
