I hated the idea of spending money on clothes that I didn't want to wear really and hoped would not fit me for very long. I tended to carry on doing as I had when pregnant and spend my money on nice shoes, bags and other accessories and also make sure my hair was nice and occaisionally treat myself to good makeup and stick to really plain clothes. If you wear, say, plain white tshirt and jeans and then have nice shoes brilliant colour toenails etc. it kind of looks OK and you have still got all that stuff when you lose weight.

Long linen skirts and tunic tops - can be worn with vests and skinny jeans later on? nice shoes? I'm going through the same - I did find buying one pair of jeans that look okay and fit me know did wonders for my self confidence.

I too hate the idea in spending alot on clothes that i wont have for long. Love the idea in spending money on nice shoes though (live in trainers at the mo) there was a time i did not even own a pair as i lived in heals. Gotta get used to them again!

Dannyjo, also forgot to mention charity shops. I went to a presentation yesterday in a skirt that cost £2.25 and a T that cost 50p. With a nice beady braclet and sparkly thong sandals I looked kinda cool for £2.75. The same day I got the skirt I also bought a pair of Monsoon years for £3.25.

Monsoon JEANS, that should read.

Hey thanks for the replies, have not had the chamce to get on msn this wk end!
Pulled out some clothes from the loft that i had put away when i was pregnant (only got a skirt that fits though but means i can enjoy the sun around my legs for a change! Will be doing a shopping trip soon and i will be heading for te charty shops! At least this way i wont spend a fortune on stuff that wont fit for long. But i will be getting some nice shoes for a change. Also i am booking myself in for a facial and manicre at the local college, good prices! Will be nice to treat myself without breaking the bank and let myself forget the belly for now LOL
