Ok.....following on from my floorboard discovery thread last week things have moved on!

We have stripped all of the walls (getting skimmed next week), ripped horrible inherited crappy fireplace out, DH is chasing all of the wires to our big lush plasma into the wall so they wont be visible etc etc

My sofas are two of the 2.5 seater ones www.beds2go.co.uk/upholsteryleather_soho.htmhere

We have a big leather mirror like this

and a smaller one like this

The floorboards have been sanded and are stained a chocolatey brown colour.

I want to put a rug in and choose paint colours for the wall.

I fancy having one wall (the wall with DH's pride and joy plama on) a different maybe darker colour and the rest of the walls lighter.

We have a massive window in the room that looks out onto pretty garden and lots of green - not sure how to dress that. Our previous curtains wont go, thinking maybe a blind?

Would someone please pull all of this together for me as my mind goes blank when I look at colours!

Thankyou kindly

a rich cream colour would look good on the walls - big advice - buy a tester pot and paint a huge square onto the wall. It's amazing how different a colour actually looks when on the wall and how many different shades of cream there are.

Maybe some texture in the rug? some nice ones here . Although maybe that would be the place to introduce any colour, or are you happy with chocolate/cream?

And as the name suggests, some really funky rugs here .
