God, the right underwear really DOES make a difference, doesn't it?

I've bought this to wear for a wedding just before Xmas. It was a last minute bid and I won it for under £4 delivered. Afterwards I looked properly at the pictures and meh-ed, but figured it can go in my wardrobe, if I don't wear it I can always sell on.

Anyway, it arrived this morning and I tried it on with my normal undies (bog standard tshirt bra and shorts) and it looked all wrong. Not terribly flettering, tbh. So, I've just tried it again with some shapewear and a boob-boosting bra and it looks like a different dress. I'm a size 8, so have never bothered with suck-you-iners, but my word, it made me look like I have a defined waist!

I must be the last person in the world to wake up to this Wink

Thank you, and I wish I'd realised too. I caught on to the bra thing a few months back, the amount of clothes I could have looked decent spectacular in when I was young and firm!

Still, better late than never.

I just won this for £13.01 Grin

So not as much of a bargain as you Barfa, but if it looks as good on me as it does on you I'll be happy!

Ooh, congrats. Report back with a picture!

These dresses are unbelievably cheap! Can I ask what they feel like on?

OhLittleTownOfBarflehem · 30/11/2013 23:44

Mine feels great, its really quite warm and quite supportive, iyswim. The stretch is good, without looking stretched. The fabric is manmade, but has a nice sheen rather than being shiney. Sort of like satin paint. I sound a bit deranged, don't I?

Tbh, I feel properly sexy in it. All madmen and grown up. But still covers enough for it to be church suitable.

I promise, I don't sell them Grin

Thanks Beth! Well I never. This is challenging my "you buy cheap you buy twice" worldview.

I doubt that it'll last 15 years, but price per wear is pretty good.
