Knitted tunic or jumper dress that's not itchy or shapeless

Impossible??

I'm 5'3", size 12 with boobs but slim hips and legs. I want a nice, warm-ish knit tunic to wear with leggings or skinnies.

I have just sent back Boden patch pocket tunic - itchy AND shapeless.

White Stuff wool tends to be itchy.

Would it be wise to avoid round necks with boobs? What other neck line should I go for?

Have you looked at Crew Clothing? I'd never bought anything from them before, but saw this fair isle tunic/dress and loved it. It's long enough to wear as a dress but lovely over jeans too. I can't find it on the website atm for some reason, but they also have this one and this one. I sized down and it's very fitted, not shapeless, and not itchy.

I also have this Asos one and it's incredibly flattering. Not particularly warm as it's cotton, but still feels soft and snuggly. Another version here.

I have the Bideford one form Crew (the first one Elizabeth has linked to on pinterest). It is lovely and I adore it but I do find it itches, I have to wear a long sleeved cotton top under it. However last pregnancy I got really sensitive skin and I have been funny about wool ever since. It is really well fitted, it is knitted to come in at the waist so doesn't jsut hang like a sack. Long enough for me to be happy wearing it with leggings or maybe thick tights. I find fatface tunics a little too short for that and have to wear with skinnies/jegging and therefore end up hardly ever wearing them as I get annoyed with the waistbands on jeans. I'm a fuss pot Grin.

I also have this dress from House of Fraser which is very nice. Not at all itchy. Not as fitted as the Crew tunics/knit dresses though.

Thanks, not sure about the Crew ones although I do quite like the House of Fraser one indith

Watching I need v or a scoop neck tho as round neck like awful with my boobs.

AutumnWind · 28/11/2013 15:09

Same as ilovesmurfs. Keep seeing nice tunic jumpers, but they all have a high neck. Am always looking for one with a deep scoop.

EarSlaps · 28/11/2013 16:59

I've got this. It's really flattering and drapes beautifully.

EstellaAgain · 28/11/2013 17:21

I have a couple of these from Hush and really like them.

EstellaAgain · 28/11/2013 17:25

PS I am by no means flat chested and usually avoid high necks, but these are just low enough, especially if you leave the top button undone.

ilovesmurfs · 29/11/2013 22:15

they look nice but as model.is wearing a scarf you cant see the neckline! ok price as well.

ilovesmurfs · 29/11/2013 22:34

found pics with no scarf and yes with top button or two undone and a vest under they would be lovely.

estella how do you find the sizes come up? according to their size guidd i need the m/l for my boob size but s/m for my waist size... hour glass figure with huge norks!

EstellaAgain · 30/11/2013 08:14

I find their sizing a bit generous, and usually size down slightly, although I do (yet!) have one from this year - I don't imagine they have changed though. I just ordered my third one (oops), they really are useful.

Elizabeth, how fitted do you find that fair ilse Crew dress? I know you've said it's itchy but it's gorgeous and I'm thinking of getting it.
