Have I got totally crap taste?

Or just, erm, a "unique style"?

It happens every year. They slash the prices of all my favourite things that I paid full price for, which then sit on the sale rails for the next 6 months, proving conclusively no-one else would wear them if you paid them to do so.

However it does mean I can now afford all the stuff I have had my eye on for a while but not yet bought

could it possibly be because you are a skinnymalink?

the rest of us do like said items, but try them on, look like heifers, and hang them sadly back on rails to await F&Z and her kind

though am currently having Marital Style Vindication - DH heard some article on the radio about The Quickest Selling Most Popular Dress Ever and came home saying 'there's this great dress, everyone's wearing it this summer, it's only £10, all the fashion journos love it, you should get one'

At which point I pointed silently at my beloved and oft-worn Primark polka-dot dress (for such it was) hanging on the front of the wardrobe...

think this is the page from the thing DH heard - feel free to quote it but you might not get much in Ebay if Primark are tooling up to make more...

I am not the wonderfully thin and in proportion sort that can wear anything, but I have got an odd shape, so maybe that's it. There's loads of stuff I can't wear, so I guess this makes up for it

heavens, if you look like her I'm not giving you style advice ever again!

Or maybe I'll give you bad advice so you don't show the rest of us up - 'Yes, F&Z, that large filthy sack will look lovely, just add some bunny slippers and a loo seat round your neck...'

i went sale shopping last night( actually forget the sale, it was just desperate to buy something shopping)and could find NOTHING.
i am a big girl so went into evans and everything in the sale was either a size 16 or a size 28. now if i was a size 16 i wouldn't be shopping in evans and how may people need a size 28?

most of the other shops all the sale stuff was a size 8/10.

MrsB he is sadly deluded, but if my 3 year old thinks I look like a model, who am I to correct him?

OK, last question for you today MrsB (I really ought to get you on a retainer), is it ok to wear that vivid teal colour with black? Please say yes as I am wearing it right now. It's the same shade as the shoes and beads I got the other week.

Oh I hope that works for me! Tried a top on in Monsoon today - liked it for going out in but not £50 worth, particularly if it's in the sale next week! Hope it is! I usually don't do bad in Monsoon as can wear an 8 in there and they tend to be left over.

MrsBadger · 14/07/2006 14:29

whoops, bit late, but teal's fine with black

mazzystar · 14/07/2006 14:58

Wow F&Z do you look like that???

am seriously intimidated now

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2006 18:00

No I don't look anything like that, of course I don't!

My hair might look vaguely like that on a good day if I'd literally just left the hairdressers, but 2 mins later it would look like shit again
