False nails virgin - do I go for acrylic, fibreglass or silk wraps?

Can anyone explain the differences to me? Also, do they ruin your nails or will I end up with fabulous long nails when they are removed?

acrylic and fibreglass are similar - your nails are "lengthened" with the powder and setting liquid which is then left to harden.
Silk wraps are just like paper-fine squares that are placed on the nail and glued over - very basic description -
But you definitely need to be aware that your own nails will get trashed and will take months to recover -

Gel nails are way better than acrylic. But they all wreck your nails so really are best for people with nothing to lose ,ie your real nails are truly awful. If they arent then just have a manicure.
