Party dress, peeptoe heels, bare legs (eek!)????

I've just bought these shoes for a Christmas party but it's occurred to me that I can't wear tights with peeptoe shoes. Is the only option fake tan and bare legs or am I missing something?

You can get sheer tights with a 'thong' for want of a better word that goes between the big and second toe. M&S or john lewis I seem to remember

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 26/11/2013 18:44

Yes, toeless tights. M&S do them.

Envy At the shoes

Would that not look weird though? Tights on legs then toes bare?? I have a similar problem and thought that sounded like a good solution but can't quite picture it....

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 26/11/2013 19:38

If they are sheer enough they should be less noticeable than pimply white winter legs Wink

ProtectiveMother · 26/11/2013 19:38

Toeless tights- very weird!

Bluestocking · 26/11/2013 19:41

Fishnets look great with painted toenails and peep-toe shoes.

Twinklestein · 26/11/2013 20:26

I agree toeless tights are odd, I just wear normal tights, the peeps are not big enough for it to matter.

Financeprincess · 26/11/2013 20:36

I think tights and peep toes are just wrong. Sorry. Go for the bare legs and some fake tan/pearlescent body lotion.

Yep - toeless tights are the way forward! I LOVE them.

butterfliesinmytummy · 26/11/2013 21:25

Thanks, I'll see if I can get some sheer toe or toeless tights. I'm not in the UK so no JL or M&S but I do have all the US department stores at my disposal. Not sure about fishnets.... I'll see what there is.

These are the toeless ones I have and they are brilliant - www.uktights.com/product/2725/gipsy-better-than-bare-open-toe-tights
They're sheer enough at 7 denier not to look odd with bare toes. Love them. I know you're in the US but you should be able to find the same brand or something similar.

MummyBeerest · 27/11/2013 05:02

Love the shoes!

I never wear tights. Ever.

MummyBeerest · 27/11/2013 05:07

Oh and should add-I'm pale. As sin.

OwlMother · 27/11/2013 05:28

I have a similar pair to these from Hobbs that I wear with open toes tights- it's fine! You actually see very little of your toes, it's not as if they're properly open toed. You can just see the big toe and a bit of second toe.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 27/11/2013 05:34

Instead of fake tan on your legs, try something like MAC face and body foundation - it evens out the skin tone and isn't as obvious as fake tan.
