the only thing I have to wear with it is a black jumper. The whole effect is way too sombre but I can't think what other colour will work. Any thoughts anyone? I love the skirt, but there must be something other than black that will go with it.

Dark/mid grey tights might work?

Autumn colours! Mustard, brown, (many shades), teal, brick red, cream, rust, other tonal greens.

I'd go red to be festive :)

It can depend on the shade but I wear dark green with plum, purples, pinks, navy blue, teal. I think it could go with a lot of colours - think of nature! What colours do you normally wear?

MissMillament · 23/11/2013 23:19

Thanks for the suggestions. I normally wear blues, greens and purples. Red, yellow and brown don't suit me. I think red would be ideal for a lot of people but not for me. Plum sounds like it is worth a shot. Or teal could be interesting. Anyone seen any good-value plain v or scoopneck jumpers in those colours?

Sorry - I went to bed and missed your reply! Have you checked out Uniqlo for knitwear? They have merino wool V-neck and, I think, scoop-neck jumpers for around £20; plus cashmere jumpers which, I think are currently on offer for just under £50. They do a them in a good range of colours. I find the quality can be a bit random but, mostly they're pretty good value.
