am hosting a Christmas party at home and looking for a fifties style party dress.

This shape is great on me here

BUT - and here's the catch I'm finding - am size 16 Shock Wink

Halter necks don't suit me, make my shoulders look butch. so while there's lots of these knocking around, no can do.

cheap dresses don't have enough length, lining or structure.

Slash neck or busty is fine.

anyone help?

just wanted to say thanks for the recommendations. I'm sat here wearing my new LadyV day dress that cost a mere £22 in the sale. I was expecting people to be swooning in the street at me today it's so great! (they didn't weirdly)

I'm going to try all the other reccos too, one by one.

cheers!

So glad :)

Last time I wore a Lady V dress (in the summer), my friend's DD stroked the skirt and sighed 'oh, it's so pretty!'

Worth every penny if you can make little girls swoon Wink
