Outfit for a December civil partnership?

I'm going to a very smart civil partnership in December - afternoon ceremony then dinner in a v nice central London restaurant. The couple are very lovely and very stylish and I want to look the part!

I'm 36, size 14, quite hourglass shape with decent legs. I tend to look good in reds and purples.

Anyone got any inspiration for me?!?

It may be helpful to say what your budget is....

Do you want to be covered up or "skimpy? A dress or separates? A one-off or something you might wear often.

And when you say stylish - do you mean New Look, Coast, or Dover Street Market?

This should suit an hourglass!

They're stylish like Kenzo, Paul Smith stylish. Out of my league! My budget is about £200 (but I do love that Westwood dress, hmmm).

More covered up than skimpy, don't mind a dress or separates.

Hope you're having some luck OP - both the Moschino and the Issa have sold out since this morning.

Are you responsible for this?Grin

Some great suggestions, thank you! I missed the Moschino but have ordered the Issa and will give it a go; am still drooling over the Vivienne Westwood and wondering whether I can justify the cost. Any other thoughts very welcome. Love that dark pink Issa dress - isn't silk jersey mega clingy on the old backside though? Or is that not a worry if I spend enough on it?!?

I like the pink dress.

How about this www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Phase+Eight+Fifi+sleeve+dress/184688027,default,pd.html

Brillenbar · 23/11/2013 06:23

I work with someone who has a couple of Issa dressed. They are v good for hourglass shaped, and definitely not clingy round the derrière the silk is very swishy.

How's the shopping going OP? Have you found anything suitably fabulous?
