Why do knee high leather boots always look like they're falling down

On me? Not just boots that I have had a few seasons, I have tried on two pairs of flat Gabor boots today, which I really liked and were very comfortable, but they both fell down my legs a bit and looked crap. I have tried zip up boots and adjustable calf boots and it makes no difference.

I have this problem too. I think it's because my ankles are very thin and bird like and although I have slim calves the ankle is out of proportion. I always get slouchy styles now which I don't especially love but they are supposed to look a bit like they are falling down

Nope, don't think it's the slim ankle syndrome. I get it too and my ankles are well ordinary in size. I don't bother with knee boots because it annoys me. I think Varsity's idea is good, go for slouchy styles.

Not just me then! Slouchy styles aren't ideal for me, as all of my clothes are a bit smarter, and I don't want to buy loads of new stuff. But you're right about it bring the answer to the problem Smile
