What to wear with Zara leather style tight trousers

I bought them with the view that I'd wear them with a tartan shirt to avoid looking trashyy but can't seem to find one I like (despite trekking round about 14 shops). Any idea what else I could wear on top? I'm 32 and size 10 (if that affects recommendation).

Unless I can think of something else, they'll sit in the wardrobe unworn. Sad

I wear mine with a fine knit pale pink jumper, a loose black shirt or a t - shirt.

a chiffon shirt. any colour.
with a vest top underSmile

I had looked at some sheer blouses with the idea of wearing vest top under for nights out. Do you think they would be ok for day time wear (say with flat biker style boots and slouchy jumper?) Bit nervous as not worn anything like this before and far 'sexier' than my usual floral dresses/ jeans and t-shirt uniform.

oh yes deffo!
chuck on a scarf a leather jacket or something and a pair of bootsGrin

I wear mine day time in a sort of groomed grungey way. Slouchy jumper, bracelets, skinny leathers, boots.

I'd wear them with a pretty cardi for day, and a sheer chiffony/silky blouse for night like this or this

I think they would look great with a jumper and biker boots. Zara have lovely fine knit jumpers in lots of plain colours for £12.99 atm, I have the red one and love it with my very distressed jeans and biker boots. Easy to add a scarf or necklace for interest, but IMO simpler is generally better. Or a cream Aran type jumper, loads around at every budget including some nice ones in Peacocks.

I think the chiffon / more dressy thing is harder to get right - can look fab but also can look very trashy.

I have several statement trousers including leopard pyjama ones, leopard print jeans and I have established that the simpler top half, the better! Even for night - high heels and a very simple shirt or vest would be enough IMO.
