Babygrows for my very slim baby

Hi

My 6 month old is very slim, and it was wondering where you'd recommend I get babygrows from that will fit nicely?

Next are too wide, tesco fit well but the patterns are rubbish, mothercare is too too wide!

Thanks Thanks

Not sure it matters to be honest. Babygrows are meant to be lose fitting?

EnglishGirlApproximately · 21/11/2013 08:30

Ds was long and slim as a baby and I found the Ladybird brand ones from Littlewoods online fitted him well - similar shape to Tesco. Next sizes are huge - he's 20 months and still wears Next 9-12 hoody and jumper that he got last Christmas.

HandragsNGladbags · 21/11/2013 08:31

Boots tend to be long and thin

MrsKoala · 21/11/2013 08:36

Iirc John Lewis were quite slim fitting. Avoid Asda and M&S - they are huge.

IndigoTea · 21/11/2013 08:59

Thanks ladies! Does anyone have a 3-6 boots babygrow? Could you kindly give me the width of it please across the waist? Thanks!!

Sainsburys are slim and actually have some lovely patterns - not so twee.
I also really like katvig stuff - you can sometimes get it in tk MAXX and is nice and slim but quite stretchy. Other scandi brands are good too.

Avoid JL, I find it enormous actually.

FreeButtonBee · 21/11/2013 09:14

Boots are massive, my 9mo still just fits into the vests length wise and they are still massive width wise.

Tractorandtree · 21/11/2013 09:15

The more expensive or french brands tend to be slimmer fitting so petit bateau is, some of the jojo maman bebe stuff etc. if you're near Oxfordshire there is a petit bateau outlet shop at Bicester village.

yummymumtobe · 21/11/2013 09:16

Gap is the slimmest I think. I also had a long narrow baby! Also liked sainsburys.

PicnicPie · 21/11/2013 09:29

Yep, I second Gap. I have a very lean 11 month DD and I find these the best, followed by Petit Bateau and Sainsburys.

GAp ones also wash very very well.

CusheyButterfield · 21/11/2013 09:34

I'd second Sainsbury's. Slim fitting and they were good for my long skinny DD. Patterns are funky and they wash well.

HazleNutt · 21/11/2013 09:53

Wanted to recommend Petit Bateau as well, I also have a slim baby.

carrielou2007 · 21/11/2013 09:54

Sainsburys and Gap, my other two dc were whoppers and very long so had to avoid buying from there but dc3 is long but skinny doesn't get that from me Smile

StatelyAsAGalleon · 21/11/2013 09:57

Another one for Gap here. My skinny wee DS was drowned in anything else.

plentyofsoap · 21/11/2013 10:02

Zara are good especially for slim toddlers and m&s.

IndigoTea · 21/11/2013 15:45

So it looks like boots are not slim fit? I think I need to make a trip to sainsburys after all

Never tried the vests but found sleepsuits narrow from Boots.

Stokey · 21/11/2013 16:19

Gap & Petit Bateau consistently the best fitting for my skinny girls - annoyingly expensive tastes!

OR H&M two sizes smaller?

Some of the sizing is crazy - my 4 yr old is still wearing a 18-24mth Monsoon dress

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 21/11/2013 16:22

Avoid jojo maman bebe. The babygros are very wide in the body & limbs.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 21/11/2013 16:24

Du Pareil au meme is slim fitting.

Lambzig · 21/11/2013 16:48

Tk maxx sometimes stock a french brand called Petit lem which are very slim. I second Katvig too, they are gorgeous cotton. Gap are quite slim too.

crazybutterflylady · 21/11/2013 17:23

Another vote for Gap. And they are fab quality too. Look in store for some bargains in the sale section.

kawaii · 21/11/2013 18:19

Joules is slim fitting too. Does not fit my chunky baby.

SantiagoToots · 21/11/2013 18:56

Mexx & Joules.

HazleNutt · 21/11/2013 19:35

Petit Bateau is so slim that my 4-month old slim baby is wearing their 12-month size body at the moment. And it's not loose.
