...but not Estee Lauder Double Wear, Lancôme Teint Idole, Bare Minerals, Clarins Everlasting and Ever Matte, YSL or Dior Forever....Grin

After faithfully using DW for years I need a change. I've had samples from all of the above but they're just not cutting the mustard. Can't get my shade just right in Lancôme, Clarins foundations are lovely but not long lasting enough on me and the Dior Forever seemed to change colour after a few hours. As for the Bare Minerals....lets not even go there. YSL's long lasting foundation was about 2 shades too dark (that was the lightest shade !)

I have access to MAC, Illamasqua, Elizabeth Arden, Benefit, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Givenchy and Guerlain. What else is there that I could try.

I'm 39, just getting over a major spotty outbreak with an oily t zone. Some lines around my eyes. I slap my make up on at 7am every morning so need it to last the day. I use primer and set with a loose powder.....

I tried L'Oreal Nude Magic on my hand in the shop and I think it looks like a lovely foundation if you have decent skin already. Wouldn't cover my acne scars though...

I just discovered an old bottle of Revlon Colorstay from God knows when and that was slapped on this morning. Rather impressed with the results. Good staying power like DW but nowhere near as cakey. Will see how I go over the next few days with this one. Would be a relief to find a good foundation that was half the price of the usual stuff !

Lots of people swear by Colourstay. It IS good stuff. See how you go and blag as many tester products as you can. Clarins are good for samples. Shu Uemera too.

After 25 years I have gone back to my very first foundation, Clinique Super Balanced. I wish I had never strayed, it's the bizz. All Clinique foundations are oil free but this one, in Ivory, is wonderful. Apply with a foundation brush, blot with a tissue, light powder, fabulous.

I love Bobbi brown -and it comes in a gazillion shades, so they can find one to match.
I recently changed to Bobbi brown (from Max factor face finity) and I'm never going back.

When I got oily today I blotted instead of applying powder...only added powder once during the day and it still looked pretty good when I came home at half 3....considering it was applied at around half 6 this morning.
