Sorting out hard/dead skin on feet

Does anyone know the best way of removing that horrible, flaky, cracked dead skin on the bottom of my feet?

Grim I know! I've tried a ped-egg but it doesn't seem to do much!

Apparently the soap and glory range do something good which i read on here, but i can't remember the name now. I am in the same position, so i will wait here with you for more knowledgable S&Bers to come along.

File the dry skin (before you have a bath) then while your skin is slightly damp, apply a Urea cream (like Flexitol - the % of urea varies from 10% to 40% . Higher one is especially good for heels)

Do this regularly , little and often.

Put socks on (I keep a pair of cotton socks for this purpose because they get a bit manky)

Make sure you don't put the cream between the toes, makes the skin there too soft.

In an emergency, I use Vaseline but be careful when you go in the shower, your skin can be a bit slippy.

Chiropodist. I've just been for the first time and it was amazing. My feet feel so much better

I stupidly bought the Emjoi hard skin remover for £40 and well it is just 'ok'.

Have now however started using Flexitol and it is bloody marvellous. DH who suffers terribly with hard skin (military man) also loves a good foot rub with it. And it is inexpensive.

I have tried everything going!! The only 2 things I would recommend are the Emoji Micro-pedi (they are in costco for £18 on offer) and Flexitol.

Sandpaper! A nice coarse one like 60 grit. Honestly dh sandpapered mine, which were really really bad, and they are like new.

Primark do a foot mask which is amazing. It's these weird sock things that you leave on for 60-90 minutes. When you take them off there is absolutely no change and you'll feel really disappointed. A week later your feet will almost fall off, revealing smooth lovely skin underneath. They're miraculous!

Yes the soap and glory foot file / scrubber is fantastic! Well worth it's money. My dc are disgusted when I use it at the amount of dead skin it removes Grin
