Do you know when the main sale starts?

lanismum · 12/07/2006 12:49

cheers crunchie, ill have a look for some bits for dd

Fimbo · 12/07/2006 12:50

If you are prepared to wait you can sometimes pick up great bargains at 70% off. I got my dd flip flops last year for £1.80

crunchie · 12/07/2006 12:54

I know you can get better bargians later, but I promised them a new outfit first. I can look for real bargains in a week or two.

tenalady · 12/07/2006 13:17

here

fishie · 12/07/2006 13:30

i've just been to the shop - cheaper there than online! total £15 instead of £17.50 plus postage. bloody cheek

anorak · 12/07/2006 13:34

I've just walked into Monsoon and asked them when the main sale starts and they don't know! All she could tell me is that it will be within the next week or two.

The assistant said that no one knows until the night before when head office call the store and they have to quickly set it all up for the next day.

She said, 'We open an hour early on the day the sale starts if that's any help'.

Me: 'not if I don't know when it starts, no.'

They are trying (and succeeding) to create an urban myth.

So whichever mumsnetter spots the sale starting, please post a thread and tell the rest of us!

thanks crunchie! went with dd yesterday and got her a lovely dress at half price
the Alisa strip dress, very cute on her

LiliLaTigresse · 13/07/2006 10:45

stripe dress....

crunchie · 13/07/2006 21:02

I spent a fortune

For DD1 I got a beautiful sequin vest top - Garbot silk sequin vest - cannot seem to get link to work!!
With this skirt

It looks beautiful

And DD2 got a fab pink buterfly sequined dress, with floaty tierred skirt

They both got these one aqua and one pink

I bought everything slightly large, so I reacon we should get AT LEAST 2 years from this little lot (dresses I bought last year are only just being worn this one and they will fit next year too!) I always get loads of wear out of them with 2 girls, 2 yrs apart and both little for their ages
