What would you wear to a 1970s sports themed party?

My 'sports kit' is some baggies and an old tshirt.

And I wasn't born in the 70s.

I tried googling and am still not sure.

What should I wear? What would you wear?

Gotta be this of course!

Football kit with no sponsors on the front and terrifyingly short shorts.

Ha at getting my arse out!

Okay, maybe I should have asked how I can cobble something together? I don't have Green Flash pumps, I don't have a wooden tennis racquet and I don't have a football kit with no sponsors on the front and terrifyingly short shorts (or the thighs to wear said shorts).

I can sew. I have fabric. I have a wqrdrobe full of normal clothes... I could buy a sweat band..?

You could go a bit left field and dress up as a geeky chess player, chess was much more high profile in the 70s. I think.
