Maternity cocktail dress

I need a frock to withstand the winter party season including my brothers wedding and work dos.

I usually wear Vivienne Westwood and other slightly more barbed styles.

I'm a size 12 but currently 12 weeks pregnant with third child and will be 4 months by time I need the frock. I carry big, out front and low.
Looked at all the usual suspects including mamalicious but it's all leaving me feeling distinctly meh....

Ideas welcome!

Watching with interest! Winter wedding at 30 weeks...

Cocochops · 17/11/2013 17:01

Have you tried seraphine? They had a few nice ones I remember when I was pregnant didn't fit me though so had to send back.

tethersend · 17/11/2013 17:06

bargain could be dressed up...

Suzietwo · 17/11/2013 17:07

At 30 weeks I'd go for this plus faux fur stole

But I'm going to have 2 kids w me at wedding (2 and 4) and think a stole and long skirt will be tricky

khaki

Bambi75 · 17/11/2013 17:08

Try

Seraphine
Isabella Oliver
Tiffany Rose

Bambi75 · 17/11/2013 17:10

Gorgeous dresses on Tiffany rose, just had a look

tethersend · 17/11/2013 17:11

This would be great with a faux fur shrug...

tethersend · 17/11/2013 17:12

very VW and could be worn after pg

FrankelInFoal · 17/11/2013 17:12

Definitely try Seraphine - I'm currently bidding on one of their cocktail dresses on eBay Wink - their website (as linked before) is offering 15% off "party wear".

Also, Brand Alley currently have a bunch Isabella Oliver stuff at 65% off. Safely there is nothing left in my size Sad. Sale here

FrankelInFoal · 17/11/2013 17:15

Seraphine's more pricey selection.

Suzietwo · 17/11/2013 17:18

I'm 5ft 5 and I find iO is made for taller women. Plus everything I've had from there has fallen apart/felt cheap, so loving the theory but not practice

Will have another look at seraphine and Tiffany rose now!

Not sure if this was the same site you said you didn't like but in case not I had this last year and it worked dressed up with sparkly heels and satin bolero as well as down with long boots and leather jacket - it had to work hard!

Suzietwo · 17/11/2013 17:52

Pud, I like thatas a work dress.

What about
www.rock-a-bye-rosie.com/maternity-dresses/1092-stunning-sequin-mini-maternity-dress-with-cowl-back-detail-bodecia ?

In theory prefer the green asos but do think it'd be a pita w kids.

What about Vivienne Westwood Anglomania? You already like it and some of the ruched jersey styles look amazing before, during and after pregnancy. They saw me through mine!

Beccadugs · 17/11/2013 18:00

Jojo maman beve have two nice cocktail style dresses.

Have just got a Tiffany rose one for a wedding next weekend, and it's lovely.

Suzietwo · 17/11/2013 18:05

VW? Lovely idea but did I fail to mention I get enormously fat during pregnancy?

Which TR did you buy?
