Awards Dinner Black Tie - have dress but what to go with it?

I have an awards dinner next week and i have my dress, long royal blue but now I have no idea what to wear on my feet or over the top as its going to be cold going from hotel to venue. Help!

I'd wear a faux fur bolero. In the same colour as your shoes and clutch bag.
In black, probably

Why not a coat?? Have I missed something? Black shoes should do it provided not platforms, in which case they can look a bit heavy and jarring. I'd probably go for silver sandals.

Have silver shoes - problem is a dont own a coat suitable, i have a leather jacket, barbour for rugby and a dog walkimg coat none of these are appropriate.

Black looks too harsh against the colour

Borrow a coat, maybe? It's just for one night.
