Hi girls how many of you use avon makeup? Is it any good? What's the best products to buy? Just got a brochure through the door lol need advice xxx

Hi dear, I used avon makeup. My opinion about this is good. I like maybelline products also.

Would also be interested to hear opinions as I've had a catalogue through the door this morning.

Have used Avon nail varnish and liked it.

I used to use avon, but it is a palava. My avon lady was unreliable so I bought some stuff from Boots, and realised how poor avon stuff actually is.

Liked the glimmerstick eyeliners when I first tried them but they didn't last a minute - very disappointing as nice shades.

Also given up on buying Avon - they do have some nice products (along with the tat presents and jewellery!) But when I need make up or toiletries I've usually run out and can't wait 2 weeks for them to arrive!!

Aren't they online now?

Have used Avon make up in the past but personally not been hugely impressed. Perhaps it's improved. I prefer to be able to try colours before buying though!

And also, you just start to like something, and they stop doing it. V annoying.

I like the glimmer sticks eyeliner but I only use the black and brown
I also like their hair oil

I use a few things, their new eyebrow powder is good, the argon oil is good too.
I find mascara a bit hit n miss, the new mega effects is good but i like eyelashes like mummy pig so that might be why
Foundations are ok but colours can be a bit off, like the ivory in some is orange on me.
Their bronzer is good
My sister is an avon lady so i buy to help her out, some of its a bit naff but some is worth a try. If you really don't like something you can give it back to your avon lady (they dont tell you this but you definatly can)

I have used them in the past. Liked the glimmersticks for eyeliner and eyebrows. Pixiwoo (2 makeup artist sisters on you tube) rate the mascara and liner called ?? supershock. I absolutely do not rate the perfume. It used to be really nice and individual in the '70;s but most of it now is really sweet and vanillary, white floral stuff although I did like the Lacroix in the red bottle. Of course, you might like the perfumes!

Have used some of the skin care in the past. It was ok I thought.

I have been very impressed with the bras and I bought several. They have or did have some good ones for the larger boobed.

Also have bought some jewellry in the past. Yu don't need an avon lady if that gets annoying. Last time I ordered over the web/net/whatever.

My next door neighbour sells it, and she is lovely so I feel duty bound to buy stuff.

The nail wear pro +( I think it's called, its the long lasting one) is ace - have got loads of colours of it, stays on for ages.
I've tried the lipsticks, eye shadows and eyeliners and I have to say I have been very unimpressed with them, oh and hair products as well. Plus colours are never as they seem in the catalogue, so even though the stuff is cheap I end up wasting money.

I get stuff for childrens presents - they have nice pyjamas.

Avon mascara is very good. I find with mascara the cheaper brands are always better than the expensive or mid range ones. I had a Benefit one that used to smear all over my fave after about an hour where as the Avon ones stays put all day.
