What sort of trousers to go with sequin top?

Have a couple of dressy (hotel dinner and disco things) to go to and can't find a dress I like but have seen a couple of nice dressy tops. What sort of bottoms would be suitable to wear, maybe satiny black cigarette pants with some heels?
Anyone going for something similar?
Any ideas appreciated
