Duo knee high boots - black brown or tan ??

Recently asked here if it was still worth getting knee high boots as opposed to ankle boots (which I already have) with the credit note from Duo that's burning a hole in my purse.

Consensus was that it was and I have in mind a flat pair with buckles called Flore (sorry, can't link from phone). I'll wear them mainly with dresses.

The question is what colour - they come in black brown and tan. At moment I'm wearing black leather bikerish jacket with dresses. When it gets colder I'll be in grey winter coat or dark navy lightly quilted jacket.
Thoughts?

TIA.

I would go for tan as it goes with black and navy.

tan

I have the tan flore and I absolutely love them Grin so comfortable. I mainly wear navy and I think they look much more exciting than my brown boots....they are quite a bright tan.

Thanks. cardoon when you say bright tan do you mean orange-y at all?

Tan again.I've had a pair of tan Duo over the knee boots for 3 years now and they still look good.Especially in early spring when its still cold and everyone wants to wear brighter colours plus still feel warm.

Well, they are a bit orangey.....but in a good way Grin - they are also sort of mottled....

Mottled as in distressed is fine . Tan seems to be winner for reasons I agree with - will try and pop into the store tomorrow.

Let us know how you get on poly - I saw the brown in the Edinburgh shop and really liked them too - more of a dark tan I would say - too similar to the tan ones to consider....

dexter73 · 14/11/2013 18:25

I would get black as I don't really like tan boots.

polyhymnia · 14/11/2013 18:37

Hmm was originally intending to. Did wonder though if black leather biker and long boots too much of a good thing ... I'm tall and large and blonde - don't want to look like a Valkyrie!

I think black boots would look better with a black biker jacket than tan boots, but I do have a bit of a thing against tan boots!

Tan go with black denim navy red brown.

Black, I don't like tan personally.

Really confused now. Need to take a trip to the Duo shop, I think!
