Hollywood/brazilian wax question

I used to go to a lady for my waxing (Hollywood) but due to her moving I tried a different salon. Usually my waxer would just use hot wax only, but at this time they did the initial wax with hot wax, and then the stray hairs or those that didn't take first time, with strip wax. I felt ok at the time (she did ask me, I said lets try it and I see pain wise and as it seemed ok a said to carry on). I did have some redness as I usually do, but now today on one side of my inner leg I have the most awful purple bruising on one side.

So does your salon use both hot and strip wax? This was a first for me, and im sure its the strip one that has caused me to bruise like that. It is right on the bone so it is just skin and not much fat. Argh does this mean I have to find yet another salon for next time...?

Just want to find out if using two types of wax is normal or not?

I'm a beauty therapist. Bikini area should be done with hot wax. Strip wax sticks to the skin more in that area & can cause bruising. I would ring up & complain. They may offer you a free wax next time or some compensation.

Thanks Megbeth. I don't think I want to go there again now, she made it out like strip wax second time was normal... Shock. I have been putting arnica gel on the bruising, is there anything better than you know of that I could use?

Arnica is supposed to help with bruising. Witchazel is good but usually best at first signs of bruising. Of will take a few days to subside.
