What's your 'everyday' perfume and can you describe it?

I'm on the hunt for new daytime scent and I haven't found it so I thought I might ask MN for a shortlist so I can maximise my extremely brief perfume-sniffing time while my toddler is happy in the buggy ie distracted with snacks

My previous one has been Marc Jacobs Daisy which I like a lot (just want a change) - I suppose it is floral but without being sickly, it's sort of fresh and zingy but not too overpowering.

Yours??

Clinique - Happy

Bright and cheerful
Floral but not oversweet

janeyjampot · 15/11/2013 17:20

Chanel Cristalle Eau Fraiche - really light and lemony.

MsIngaFewmarbles · 15/11/2013 17:20

Ooooh sadie, I love Daisy but LOATHE Angel Grin a friend wears it and it makes me nauseous whenever I get near her.

Only have one. Daytime, night time, going out.....

Lancôme Tresor. Years ago, I tried it and hated it, when it first came out. But it has been tweaked somehow. DH came back from the airport with some for me, about 3 years ago. I had to pretend a "How lovely, thank you!" Confused When I wore it, it was absolutely gorgeous! I'm older now and maybe my own body chemistry has altered but, I am asked all the time, "what are you wearing?" and get a kind of blank look when I tell them.

I'm on my 4th bottle of the Eau de Parfum 100ml size. Beautiful

Eliza22 · 15/11/2013 17:32

Will add, if you like a more light, summery fragrance..... Try Chanel Allure Eau Sport Cologne. Yes, it's for men. Yes, it's adored by women and I used to wear it all the time, till my (now) DH stole it from me! It only comes in 100mls, is expensive and gorgeous!

DuvetHog · 15/11/2013 17:52

Michael Kors by Michael Kors. I love love love it! I can pick it out on someone at 200 paces! It's a very sensual perfume but adapts as the day wears on.

Taken from the website.....

Classic Tuberose is transformed into a uniquely modern fragrance sensation by surrounding this gorgeous floral with sensuous spices, Freesia, Turkish Rose, Orange Flower, White Peony, dried fig and exotic Moroccan incense.

Love Jo Malone lime and basil - fresh. Also really like clarins red perfume called way dynamiste as it is fresh too but a bit 'warmer' for winter time Grin

valiumredhead · 15/11/2013 18:18

Liz Earle 100-floral but fresh and I absolutely love it and I dislike perfume usually.

Buildingamystery · 15/11/2013 22:47

I love Y by YSL and Eau du Soir by Sisley.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/11/2013 23:14

I've recently bought the Liz Earle 15 after coveting it for months.

I do like the first one but it doesn't last on me.
The LE 100 I found too florally.

wiltingfast · 26/12/2013 19:52

Chanel no 19 here. Although i'm also nursing a small bottle of gucci envy!

namechange74 · 26/12/2013 19:56

Noticed recently that i buy very strong, heady perfumes - these are what i wear:
Tom Ford black orchid
Donna Karan Chaos
Burberry classic
Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile

MrsMaryCooper · 26/12/2013 19:56

Lovely - Sarah Jessica Parker
or
Cristalle - Chanel

but I'm quite fickle. I like Paloma Picasso as well.

nulgirl · 26/12/2013 19:56

Kenzo Flowers. It smells light and floral with a very slim simple bottle which is easy to carry around. I love it and have had complements on it too.

alemci · 26/12/2013 20:21

I like daisy

usually wear clarins eau de jardin,

quite florally and light and fresh, wild rose and fruity - love it

My every day scent during Winter is Fracas by Robert Piguet.

"Fracas was first launched in 1948 and then reissued in 1998. Intoxicating fragrance in Parisian style, known for its refined simplicity. Fracas is glamorous and comfortable at the same time, modern and provocative. It is ultra feminine and sexy!

It opens with freshly sweet notes of bergamot, mandarin, and lilac. The heart brings lovely fusion of white flowers. Tuberose, exuberant and seductive, nicely blends with pure, clear and intensive notes of jasmine, white narcissus, gardenia, lily of the valley and white iris, with a hint of orange blossom and violet embraced by sandalwood, vetiver and sensual musk in the base."

I also love most of Serge Lutens' creations.

thefirstmrsrochester · 26/12/2013 20:42

Chanel Allure or Aqua di Parma Blu for day, both get compliments. I really want the Creed one too now.

ThePortlyPinUp · 26/12/2013 20:43

Jimmy Choo - Flash, I just loved it as soon as I tried it.

Thesimplethings · 26/12/2013 20:46

Chanel chance for everyday wear and Gucci for evening

MissWimpyDimple · 26/12/2013 20:56

Daisy Eau so fresh. I still love it but I think I need a change soon...

PirateShit · 26/12/2013 20:59

My day perfume at the moment is clarins eau des jardins. Love it, really light and fresh. Citrusy top notes with floral underneath. I've got the body cream too and I find that if i use both the scent stays all day.

SanityClause · 26/12/2013 21:01

Boucheron.

It smells like the summer I went backpacking in Europe.

AlaskaNebraska · 26/12/2013 21:10

MissBattleaxe · 26/12/2013 21:13
