graduation shoes and falling down on stage...

I am graduating on Friday, and have a pair of smart black heels that I bought for work and I thought would do for the occasion. However, I LIVE in flipflops and I am having a really hard time trying to walk normally in them, to the extent that I am really worrying about falling flat on my face as I walk on stage Flip flops will look odd poking out under my robes, so what kind of alternative should I look for? I am wearing a black wrap dress and I DO like heels, as they make my legs look much nicer, but all the shoes I've seen with a walkable heel seem too grannyish. Any suggestions??

wear them all day every day between now and Fri - you might get the hang of them!

Ballet shoes can be pretty and glamorous. If you are not confident in the shoes by Friday I would not wear them. You will just be worrying about them and not enjoy your moment of glory.
