Where would you buy a nice velour, long dressing gown from that is NOT the White Company?

Ideally hooded but not a necessity.

Want to buy one for my mum.

There's on on m&s but it apparently makes you resemble the michelin man and looks a bit cheap. Was hoping for something quite luxurious.

Bizarrely I just saw one in ikea earlier, very soft velour in white or a deep red. Just don't go to buy it on a Saturday morning or you might lose the will to live!

I also saw some v luxe ones in HoF last week

Laska42 · 09/11/2013 18:03

have seen some nice ones in TKMAXX

IamInvisible · 09/11/2013 18:13

Next? not hooded though.

BHS have a mid calf length one in different colours.

Thanks will check these out.

Certainly never considered IKEA but will see if I can order online. The next one is lovely, think I will look around to see if I cancer a hooded one but if not may go for that one.

Has anyone seem it in real life?

John Lewis?

FoxyHarlow123 · 10/11/2013 08:24

Those Ted Baker ones are divine.

I bought the M and S one u refer to. It is beyond soft and gorgeous but it really does make u look enormous. When I read the reviews, I thought, don't be ridiculous, it's only a dressing gown, what does it matter. And then I tried it on. It easily puts 2 stone on u!!

KosherBacon · 10/11/2013 14:09

Aren't the ted baker ones polyester? I LOATHE polyester fleece gowns with a passion.

tickingboxes · 10/11/2013 14:16

I can attest that the Next robes are ridiculously soft and cosy.

Grumpywino · 10/11/2013 18:54

I have a Ted Baker hooded one, so so soft and warm.
