They need to be warm, warm, warm and preferably ankle height, like bootees. Not Ugg style as I want to curl up indoors with them on.

Thanks for linking Pear. I have grey ones with a green heart on the front, dh has dark grey, dd1 has orange with a big button on the side and dd2 has fuchsia with a green heart. They are so cute and really warm without being sweaty. We don't normally do "family dressing" but couldn't resist these.

Yes to the Celtic boot slippers, but they do have quite a substantial sole.

If money no object these look amazing. I don't have them yet but I buy my sheepskin boots from there and they are excellent quality.

I also have the Boden velvet slipper boots linked to above - they are synthetic, but they don't make my feet sweat. They're actually really lovely, not as warm as sheepskin but perfectly adequate for all but the most arctic houses. And they look very nice with leggings, skinny jeans or PJ bottoms tucked in. I have been mostly wearing these since I got them, but will revert to sheepskin if the weather drops a few more degrees.

Have a pair of Shepherds on order. I do love slippers Blush

Hmm I think I should be looking for slippers with the best supportive sole, as I have arthritis in my ankle and need a well cushioned sole.

I'm still dithering. Fur v felt?

if you need support, I'd say sheepskin definitely (thick as you can find) as it forms a cushion shaped under and around your foot. Felt is already flattened so won't do the same. My Shepherd slippers have a lovely thick sheepskin lining.

sheepskin .but it has to be real not the fake stuff.

Im also dithering, nearly spent £15 in M&S yesterday but stopped myself, because really I want the Celtic ones.
