My m and d ran into Cherie Blair somewhere and my mum went on and on about how shockingly bad she looked in real life - she said her shoes were too big, her linen suit looked like it had been slpet in - not just creased in a linen way, and that she was much larger than you would think form the telly!

What is Cherie Blair supposed to look like?! She is a QC, how much time do you really want her to spend shopping for make up! FFS!

She was at the gardeners world show doing an opening type thing surely something that relates to her public pms wife role not her qc life. After all the scandal about how much dressing her has cost the labour party ( which I actually think was a mean unjustified personal attack on her) I just thought it was vaguely interesting that she allegedly looked so bad - I don't particularly judge her for it

I think Kate is very stylish myself.

I take your point apron but she is also a nearly middle aged woman who has had 4 kids and does a very high powered job, so judging her on the basis of what she looks like just seems pretty irrelevant to me.

kate is too skinny to merit full marks though

beansprout of course we can judge her on her style. We're not saying she's crap, bad mum, thick etc just that she may not have much style.

We can all sit and judge each other all day (and there are enough MNers who do) but it just doesn't seem like a very useful or helpful thing to do. I was judged and bullied at school for my supposed "lack of" style and it's really not a great way to be treated or talked about.

kate just looks like, k, i'm gonna say it, i think she looks chavvy. she's just got that chav look about her.

to me, 'style' involves having a bit of class - in the NON socio-economic sense, and she hasn't got an iota of that.

Kate is a chameleon. She can either look so stylish, or very chav like. When she looks good she looks great, when she looks bad she looks Chavvy!

to me, she looks chavvy all the time. her face. it's just got this look about it.

they have a team of stylists behind them (maybe not nan cy)so they are not naturally stylish.
