Black dress for cocktail wedding

Can someone please help me find a black dress for a wedding? It's an evening wedding & the bride has specified black attire for guests?!

I am about a size 10, 5'5, hate my thighs so preferable knee length or mid calf, and preferable sleeveless.

Have been searching and searching and haven't found anything quite nice enough. Who specifies guest wear black to a wedding!??

The first french connection one is nice nomore, but the other two are too short! Budget would be up to about 200 -250 I think.

I have a black tie wedding coming up too. I always find fabulous designer dresses worn once at knock down prices in dress agency shops, ones though in posh locations. I have a temperley, a jenny packham to name a few all under £200. Failing that look in department stores, selfridges, house of Fraser or online like on very so you can browse across many brands.

She's specified or requested that we wear black. The dresscode is "cocktail" wedding. Black tie would be a lot easier!

I found a fab selection of black cocktail and ball dresses in tk maxx on Saturday.

Wore a £40 dress and felt like a million dollars. Might be worth a shot.
