Big baby warm poncho

Ok so DS hates putting his coat on but it's freezing outside!

Has anyone seen a nice warm hooded baby poncho in size 12m+?

Wool would be lovely but even better would be if someone made them in padded Gore Tex or something - basically like a coat but without tight sleeves to wrestle on and off!

Whst about JojoMamanBebe? Here: www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/product+t+poncho

Ooh the polar fleece ones? They're gorgeous!

I wonder how warm they are, being only polyester? (I'm a fabric snob).

Also seems to be a preponderance of "girl" colours... Not that I particularly mind that.

I am a fan of fleece, as it's reasonably water-repellent and quick drying (unlike wool). Ifthis fleece is double-layered (fleece has a nap on one side), it should be quite warm in wind, too.

For heavy rain, though, you could throw a cheapy plastic poncho (pound shop? bin bag?!) over the top?

They sell them on Amazon

Ok, thanks Renter! :)

Which ones, Dinky?

The jojo fleece ones are very warm. And actually not bad in the rain or snow. They're lovely and soft. But a company called Morrck do what you're looking for, waterproof poncho. Wrapture I think.

Oooh! Just found that, and it looks very interesting!

Wow! These look terrific. What a great site, I had never heard of it before. Thank you :)

No problem! Smile

I've bought the Morrk Wrapture. Blush

It's not the ultimate in warmth (although thick clothes in car seats seem to be a Really Bad Idea), but it's water repellent and there's loads of room underneath (DD is still under 2) for another layer...
