Grin yes I am boasting Grin

Seriously though, Its just drinks in a pub. I don't want to look like mutton and I don't want to look like his mother Hmm.

I have lots of different clothes to chose from, its just a question of where on earth do I start!

Nothing Grin

AhCmonSeriouslyNow · 05/11/2013 15:41

Whatever she likes and that suits her!

Just wear something that you feel glamorous and comfortable in!

Tinlegs · 05/11/2013 15:42

A huge grin and her best smug face!

curlew · 05/11/2013 15:42

Jeans, T shirt, blazer type jacket, ankle boots.

meditrina · 05/11/2013 15:43

Whatever she feels great in!

More seriously: how about skinny jeans with great boots, and a top that hints at cleavage but doesn't look desperate?

ElizabethBathory · 05/11/2013 15:43

Whatever you'd normally wear, surely?

totallylost · 05/11/2013 15:43

Damn Tinlegs beat me to it

SweetCarolinePomPomPom · 05/11/2013 15:43

A bare fanjo. They expect that nowadays you know.

ElizabethBathory · 05/11/2013 15:44

And enjoy - I have a friend in exactly your situation who is now marrying the guy...not to get your hopes up Grin

motherinferior · 05/11/2013 15:44

Cleavage. Some things never go out of fashion.

missbopeep · 05/11/2013 15:44

seriously too- if you get past the first date you are going to have this question every time, surely- so just wear what you like. Presumably he's seen you in the flesh already- or is this an online date?

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow · 05/11/2013 15:44

Thanks ladies, I think i'll opt for the skinny jeans (black), ankle boots (grey) and a blazer (grey).

Would a thin silver lurex jumper be ok? Or is lurex too much.

OP posts:
peking · 05/11/2013 15:45

Lurex is rather dated, I think

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow · 05/11/2013 15:47

You guys make me laugh.

Am thinking yes to cleavage, maybe not the lurex top then.

I've known him 5 years and he has finally beaten me down with his persistant date requests!

OP posts:
ElizabethBathory · 05/11/2013 15:49

Lurex is too much. I like the sound of the rest of your outfit though.

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 05/11/2013 15:50

Perhaps it would be helpful to you for someone else to do a practice run? Just to check out his tastes and report back....

JuneauWhoIAm · 05/11/2013 15:52

Not lurex.
The rest of the outfit with a different top is fine.

WTF is lurex?!

noddyholder · 05/11/2013 15:54

I m 48 and like lurex Grin

polyhymnia · 05/11/2013 16:02

I like lurex sometimes, in the right place but I don't think this is one of them . I'm sure you must have other nice tops which would go with your outfit. If he's been asking you out so long he obviously likes your style anyway.

corlan · 05/11/2013 16:05

It's getting cold, so how about cougar?

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow · 05/11/2013 16:07

"Perhaps it would be helpful to you for someone else to do a practice run? Just to check out his tastes and report back...."

lolol, I think I can manage thanks!

I'd go with a sheer type blouse say in black with a camisole underneath this looks smart, ageless, ultra sexy & still shows cleavage. Nice big clutch bag, statement necklace. & enjoy Grin
