Boots for the wide of leg (but not necessarily wide fit)

I have been looking for black boots to wear with tights and dresses (skater, tea dress etc)
Ankle boots seem to be a no no so far because although I'm not big I do have chunky calves (I'm a pear shape so all hips thighs and calves) an they make me look all weird shape
Biker boots are ok-ish but still give me chunky legs look and I want to look smartish (think to go with mac/pea coat)
What else can I try oh wise vipers I'm at my wits end

duo or evans and some clarks style eg national spice or national sugar

I got a pair recently from evans that I'm really happy with - slight heel but v comfy and think they look quite nice. They are £95 full price but a few codes kicking around so I got them for just over £65

Are Evans boots and shoes not wide fit though, any I've tried my feet have had no support as they are too wide.

Op,try M&S.I got mine there,not wide footed but can fit wider calves.I got Autograph ones rather than Footglove.20 off at the mo too.Look for one's with stretch zip and small panel on the inside of the leg so it can't be seen

Try Hobbs. Gorgeous quality knee high boots with an elastic panel that will fit over chunky calves. Also check out Marks and Spencer, they have some long boots with a stretch zip.

Duo are great imo - the only boots that fit my chunky calves exactly.
