Stylish people come here, I need your help for a job interview on Wednesday...

I have an interview on Wednesday for a job I would love. If I'm successful, this would be a managerial position - I've been working in this industry for three years. It's in the creative industries, so not too formal but most people dress fairly stylishly.

My clothes are always clean and neat but some are looking frankly slightly on the shabby side as I don't have too much money to spend on them - I usually get workwear from Oasis, Warehouse and the odd bit of Whistles. The usual style in the office is fairly casual but with nicely tailored bits.

Who can recommend a great dress I could wear - one that says 'professional' but isn't too staid? Around the £80-100 mark. I already have a smart camel coat and tan brogues. I've had my nails manicured a shade of deep plum as I've noticed that the people in higher up jobs always have good grooming! They all seem to shop at Cos, Whistles, Hobbs, Reiss etc so I guess I'd be looking at those kind of places too (dress for the job you want, and all that).

If anyone has any ideas I would be thrilled! I'm 5'3, size 8-10 and have massive waps for my height/shape (30FF).

I'm not remotely stylish but wanted to help!

This one would go well with camel but they only have it in a 12:

Wrap good for busty and floaty acceptable for creative role?

Oooh thanks hanette - I think I might go to John Lewis and see if they have any in my size. I was thinking long sleeved maybe but I bet I'll be roasting because I'll be sweating with anxiety (nice...)

Something like this would be nice, but obviously way over budget. Will look for something cheaper.

tethersend · 04/11/2013 23:32

Have a look at cos- this is nice

hanette · 05/11/2013 00:02

Ohh nice tether - actually red is good for a creative job I bet. And would still go with camel outer if you wore nude hosiery? (Hate that word, reminds me of my Saturday job at Richards Shops in 6th form) - remember that shop?!!

Thank you for all your help - the Mary Portas dress was a treat! Just hope I get the job now!
