What shampoo for long thick flyaway hair?

My hair is long and thick and very prone to static and frizz. When it looks good it looks lovely but I don't seem to be able to achieve this very often.

Can anyone recommend a shampoo/product that can help without making it greasy and lank? As it's so thick it is heavy so can end up looking flat at the top and frizzy at the bottom.

I just want to stop the static really, it drives me mad.

I am in my 40s btw.

I have the same type of hair and have tried and tried to find the best shampoo/conditioner for my hair for years. At the moment I am using this
Vo5 'smoothly does it' shampoo
and Vo5 'give me moisture' conditioner.

The shampoo is in a pink bottle and the conditioner is in a white bottle - I actually get it from the 99p stores but not sure of its full retail value.

Also taking some weight by thinning it out will help, but won't look any different.

Not a shampoo I know, but Loreal extraordinary oil has been fantastic for calming my frizz. Best thing I've ever found! :)

Thanks for the recommendations Tired and stillstanding

Fucky - I do get it thinned when cut but it grows so bloody quickly and I can't afford a haircut every month :(
