Hobbs shoes: where's the "like" button when you need it? Any experience?

Having a little cruise around the Hobbs website and happened across the shoes. There are some very tempting items and many are in sale.

I have size 8 clodhoppers and before I purchase the items in my basket I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of sizes.

I have several pairs of shoes and boots from Hobbs - mostly from sales or their outlet. Like you, I have size 8 feet. Previously I found that the shoes came up a bit small and I always needed a 42 (although boots in a 41 were fine). In the last year or two though, the sizes seem to have got bigger, so a 41 in shoes now fits. (Oddly, I still take a 41 in their boots too - these don't seem to have changed in the same way as their shoes).

I think it does depend on the style to an extent - some seem to fit me better than others. You could always try ordering two sizes and see which one is best; they do free returns.

I've had 8.5-/42-sized feet since I was about 12 and Hobbs is one of the few places where I can buy shoes. Until a few years ago, plain black and occasionally brown shoes were all that was available, but the ranges have become much more varied now. Quality usually excellent, though sometimes you have to replace a heel surprisingly soon. Go for it.

I'm a size 7 and Hobbs is a reliable 40 for me. I have lots of shoes from there and they are comfy and keep their good looks. Def worth buying 2 sizes to check which you are.

Thanks for your advice. I'm looking at several pairs and on your advice will order 41 and 42.

I think Hobbs have changed their suppliers in the past coupe of years. The quality and for aren't as good as they used to be. Their ballet slippers used to be the only ones I could wear.
