So, I went to Debenham's the other day to find a coat to replace my current double breasted pea coat that I bought 10 years ago. I saw this one and really liked the fit. It is however made with polyester/viscose rather than a wool blend and don't know whether it will keep me as warm. It is however very affordable especially with the 25% off.

I am however willing to stretch the budget to £150 maximum for the right coat. I would prefer a wool coat but how long are they normally meant to last before they start piling?

Would be grateful for any ideas. Thank you in advance.

I bought this one from Hobbs.

It is a touch above your budget as it is £179 (down from £229), but it is 80% wool.

I bought the size 10 and I am not petite, but it is fitted and feels luxurious and smart.

It is very dark navy. I initially bought it as I thought it was black (which is what I was after). However, I have decided to keep it as I like it a lot, and I have not seen any other similar options.

Thank you Rattitude. It is lovely. That's the sort of coat I'm after and I'll have to check it out in the shop when I'm next in a big city as unfortunately there isn't a Hobbs where I am.

Good luck! I hope you find it, and like it. Smile
