Christening & karate kids party 2hrs apart - what would you wear?

We're due to attend a christening at 11, then DD's friend's 4th birthday party which is martial arts themed, starting at 1pm. Both in the same town, so logistically it just works.

I don't want to look massively out of place at either event. What would you wear?

To be honest I'd change, surely something like jeans is right for the party, anything suitable for a christening would be overdressed.

There's not enough time to change between events

So far I am thinking dark denim pencil skirt. With burgundy tights, navy shoes and navy/cream blazer? Argh!

I'd wear my karate pyjamas with a floral brlt rsther than the black one and a fascinator.
