Atershave/fragrance for 16 year old son

My 16 yo son hasn't actually started shaving yet but I thought it might be nice to buy him some nice, grown up fragrance for Christmas. So any recommendations, anybody with sons in late teens/early twenties, what do they wear?

My 20yr old son has worn Davidoff Cool Water for the past couple of years and loves it.

Ck One, CK Shock, Paul Smith Extreme. All have these have been bought for various teenage family members at some point and have all gone down really well

He has been known to nick his dad's Cool Water.

paco rabanne is a nice understated scent, £15.99 in Boots at the moment.

Any of the David Beckham aftershaves are great for this age. My daughter works in a chemist and these are always popular with teenagers :)

DS 16 swears by Beckham Instinct. We all swear when we are by it too.
Still at least he's outgrown the nostril fiesta that is Lynx

Some of the Paul Smith ones are nice, and often on offer in Boots.

Carolina Herrera Chic is amazing.

Davidoff The Game smells of gin. My DH has just bought it and it's really really nice!

Issey Miyake, Chanel, YSL, Gucci and Guerlain are also worth having a look at.

There's also Hermes Voyage d'Hermes - it's for both men and women and it's lovely. Smells of cardamom.

If you don't want to spend megabucks try The Body Shop for some nice male fragrances which aren't too naff.

My DS (14) uses Ralph Lauren Safari and Paul Smith Extreme......only because DH didn't like them, and handed them down.

My 15 year old DS loves Diesel Only The Brave, which has a bottle the shape of a clenched fist, and Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb which has a grenade shaped bottle!

My 15 year old has asked for Victor and Rolf's Spice bomb for christmas.

I would prefer to buy him some Cool Water - it's classic, good quality, and not break the bank expensive - but it's his present so he shall have what he likes.

Like a poster said upthread, ANYTHING is better than the daily Lynx assault.
