I've always had very thick wavy hair and recently with the peri-menopausal onset, I've had hair like a feckin' brillo pad. Use Kiehls Argan shampoo and conditioner, a bit of extra oil and half an hour with the Babyliss but the second a drop of water lands on my head it pouffs up to Leo Sayer circa 1977.
So I went to the hairdresser (local) got a quote of £100 which included a cut and wash etc and sat for two hours while my head was slathered with the stuff and ironed straight. I kept my hair completely dry for the next four days. But it did get rained on during the storm so I re-ironed a bit at the back.
Day four and I wash and dry it. Without doing anything at all - ie drying - my hair has a wave but no pouffy frizz. Ten minutes with the Babyliss and it's swish swish. I am so happy - I've wanted hair like this for years. Worth every penny. I had my hair highlighted a while ago and now I can see the colour properly.
Next time I'll do it at home but I can see me keratin-ing for a long time.
