Shoes to wear when you have limited options

Hi,

I have a party to go to and several dresses I could wear, all knee length. Am size 16 5ft 2.
I can't wear heels - even wedges or kittens - due to knee problems.

To add to my problem, I have wide feet and can't wear pumps as they don't stay on my feet.

What can I wear on my feet before I resort to trousers?

What about platforms like this?

A long slim fitting black boot in suede (Middleton style iykwim) could look evening/elegant whilst meeting your needs. Like this

Another thought, which is very on trend, is a flat shoe with a high front. I can't find exactly the style I mean on the high street. They look a bit like a bandage wrapped around the foot much higher than a ballet flat. These aren't exactly the style I mean but look great and might be high enough at the front for you?

A slipper shoe is another option. Like this.

these are another option maybe? Practical but the pointy toe makes it more elegant/dressy.
