Where to buy jeans?

I don't have that much cash for this - could prob stretch to about £40, but I want some that are hard wearing, and thicker denim (rather than the thin cottony ones you get from New Look etc that sag after a few wearings).

I used to get Moto jeans from Top Shop - we're talking years ago here when Top Shop sold jeans, vest tops and not much else - are they still any good or have they gone cheap and nasty?

Style-wise, I usually feel most comfortable in a boot cut (huge arse and thighs, short dumpy legs but a narrow waist) but am willing to try new thingd. Except skinny. I look ridiculous in skinny.

I throw myself at your feet. Please help oh MN shopping gurus.

I just bought some Next high rise skinnies after they were recommended on s and b (I know no skinnies but they do other cuts too). Good fabric and only £28. And i HATE Next normally

I have just got some fab flares (not tooo flared) in Fat Face, they are so soft and comfortable. Proper denim, not thin and cheap. They were £45.

Thanks both. For some reason I always go to Next for work gear but had forgotten about them for jeans, there's a big one not far away so will look there first. Had always thought places like Fatface were way out of my budget but I shall head into t'big smoke later this week and have a look if they do decent jeans at that price!
