Help - I need something to go over a dress to wear on Saturday please

Going to a wedding, wearing a purple maxi dress that is the most forgiving thing I own. Sleeveless though, reception venue quite a schlep from ceremony so I need something to go over it. DP (6'3" to my 5'10") has agreed to lend me a pinstriped suit jacket if I can't find an alternative but I would rather wear something that actually fits. Thinking sparkly blazer type thing but am a fashion dunce so please help.

Also, I have to buy it tomorrow morning, and some shoes as well, as that is my only chance to go shopping... Ridiculous, I know.

I saw a pale purple/mauve coloured sequined jacket in Primarni yesterday. I think it was quite nice but also pretty OTT.

I wonder if you're coming to my wedding...I'm getting married on Saturday!

Been looking online and can't find anything nice - think it might be something that exists only in my imagination. Only problem with purple/mauve one is that I was hoping to wear it with other stuff on other occasions. OTT about covers it!
