Can anyone recommend a nice turquoise colour nail varnish?

Ta!

I'll be watching this with interest as I used to have a fantastic metallic turquoise one a few years ago that dried up and I've never found anything like it since -presumed that it wasn't a "fashionable" colour any more (not that I care because it was gorgeous and I want some more!)

sugarfree · 05/07/2006 21:32

No7 'peacock'
Bought it last year so don't know if it's still available.

moondog · 05/07/2006 21:32

don't.they will just look bruised.

muma3 · 05/07/2006 21:32

some one on another thread had a blue lady garden you could ask her for tips? something to do with chesse?

NomDePlume · 05/07/2006 21:34

Turquoise and coral are the colours for toes to be seen in this season, apparently (according the latest issue of Grazia, anyway).

FrannyandZooey · 05/07/2006 21:35

A very very kind MNer sent me all her different shades of blue nail varnish as she didn't want them any more

BettySpaghetti · 05/07/2006 21:36

but NDP have you seen any anywhere?? I haven't

sugarfree · 05/07/2006 21:37

You notice F&Z isn't offering to send you one of her many, many turquoise nail polishes?
How very greedy!

FrannyandZooey · 05/07/2006 21:42

heh heh, my pretties

sugarfree · 05/07/2006 21:43

I'll bet every toe nail is a different shade of blue! Greedy greedy girl!

NomDePlume · 05/07/2006 21:44

Betty, I haven't seen any turq nailpolish recently, but then I don't shop for make up etc very often (and when I do, I tend to go for neutrals over brighter colours). You do realise you have set me a challenge now ? I will find some and report back....

NomDePlume · 05/07/2006 21:51

Bottom of the page, colour no 099 possibly a bit dark ?

BettySpaghetti · 05/07/2006 21:51

Yes please NDP -I don't really do make-up other than absolute basics so I don't go to a huge variety of those type of shops.

(by the way, it can't be a pale insipid turquoise for me -i want sriking!! Thank you )

NomDePlume · 05/07/2006 21:52

Bottom of page again, this time a Bourjois one

poisson · 05/07/2006 21:55

i bought a rely cheapy one
collection 200 or summat that was pale blue
it seems ot be silevr on my toes htough
my mum likes it

NomDePlume · 05/07/2006 21:56

OPI have a fab trio of bright blues/turquoises

BettySpaghetti · 05/07/2006 21:56

The Bourjois one looks very promising ! (Rimmel link didn't have a turquoise one??)

poisson · 05/07/2006 21:57

you need ot pos on piffs make up alley - they are terriyining

BettySpaghetti · 05/07/2006 21:57

EURGHH -did you you see the green ones at the bottom of the OPI site? Mouldy green toenails...lovely

NomDePlume · 05/07/2006 21:58

Sorry betty, wrong page, it should have been the L'Oreal one

NomDePlume · 05/07/2006 22:00

I dunno, i thin kthe bright greens would look great on somone darker skinned with well pedicured feet. I agree it would look terrible on a lily white foot

BettySpaghetti · 05/07/2006 22:04

Think I might order some of the Bourjois one -at a quick glance it seems that they only charge actual postage which is a welcome relief (was expecting £8.99 postage or something equally ridiculous)

poisson · 05/07/2006 22:04

STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oook!

BettySpaghetti · 05/07/2006 22:07

That explains why theres no bloody turquoise nail varnish in the shops -its all on ebay and other online retailers!

poisson · 05/07/2006 22:08
